There is something incredibly special about being invited back into a family’s life after photographing such an important chapter before. When Rachel and Adam got in touch to tell me they had welcomed their baby boy, AJ, I was genuinely delighted. Having photographed their wedding a few years ago, it felt like such a full-circle moment to now document this new, quieter, and equally meaningful stage of their lives.
This newborn session took place in their beautiful Dublin home, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. We kept everything relaxed and baby-led, moving between rooms with the best natural light and using the textures and colours of their home as a backdrop. These kinds of sessions are less about posing and more about connection — the small glances, the way a tiny hand curls around a finger, the quiet moments in between.
For Rachel and Adam, this session wasn’t just about having newborn photos taken in Dublin — it was about documenting the beginning of life as a family of three. Having already shared their wedding day with them, there was a real sense of familiarity and trust, which allowed them to fully relax into the experience. That always translates into more natural, emotive images.
